At first sight,it does seem as if the above statement holds true;that the younger we are,the less resilient are we.Yet it might just be because the young do care more that they possess the youthful exuberance to keep on going despite all odds,which coincidentally is the basis for many a miracle.
Still,with the hindsight of experience,one learns to choose his battles;that you do not have to win every battle,just the ones that matter.It smacks of cynicism,but that is reality for you for reality is never beautiful.That may just be how one can last the course.

I don't really understand the quote. What does it means when you are young, everything feels like the end of the world?
To me, it's more like I wish it's the end of the world. No more problems for anybody. Dahhh.
It means that when you are young,each setback seems to be so overwhelming that it's like the end of the world;and you are a sadist for wishing the end of the world to clear the problems.I just wish that I wasn't here at all....
Oh ok...no lar, not sadist, lol. If sadist, then I'll say I'll kill everyone first then kill myself. Lol. So best is everyone go at the same time, so no one will be sad.
